Steven Wilson
Dr. Wilson is a chemical engineer, quantum chemist and U.S. Navy veteran and former Chief Petty Officer in the nuclear propulsion program. He brings 10 years of computational chemistry expertise, and a further 10 years of operational leadership in high-stakes technical environments to PsaiForge. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University (ASU) in Prof. Muhich’s lab as a DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellow, specializing in high-performance computing, AI, and quantum simulations for materials design.
His research has integrated high-throughput DFT, machine learning, and Bayesian optimization for catalytic and energy materials design. This research has led to a patent and several open source software packages. Dr. Wilson is an expert in major computational platforms (VASP, Quantum Espresso), scientific libraries (ASE, Pymatgen), and AI frameworks (TensorFlow). His experience managing interdisciplinary R&D teams makes him ideally suited to lead PsaiForge’s technical vision.
